William Muldrow was riding across his Marion County farmland one day when he came upon a boy he didn’t know. Apparently thinking he could impress the youth, Muldrow asked, “Who owns this land around here?” The boy answered, “Old Bill Muldrow. Pap says he’s the dangdest scoundrel in the State of Missouri.”
