The Public Service Commission is warning Missourians who buy new manufactured homes – mobile homes – to make sure they are properly installed. PSC Chairman Jeff Davis says the warning is being issued in the wake of the tornadoes that destroyed hundreds of homes in the state. Davis says many residents of parts of southeast Missouri lost their homes or had their homes severely damaged during the recent storms, and the PSC wants to make sure consumers who are buying new manufactured homes are buying homes that are installed properly to ensure the safety of the homeowners and those living in the vicinity of these homes. A complete list of licensed installers and approved anchoring systems and requirements can be found on the PSC website at psc.mo.gov. Click on the “house” icon.
