Former Blue Downs St. Louis

April 12, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

A former teammate did the Blues in on Tuesday in a 2-0 loss to the Predators. The two teams were scoreless until the 12:15 mark of the third period when Mike Sillinger got a lucky bounce off the boards following his own missed shot. The puck came back and he easily beat rookie goaltender Jason Bacashihua to make it 1-0. Sillinger was traded to Nashville earlier this year.

The Predators added an empty-net goal to make it 2-0.

Bacashihua stopped 28 shots in the loss, while Chris Mason stopped 29 for the shutout. Nashville won all eight meetings against the Blues this season. St. Louis has lost 14 of their last 15 games.
