Testimony From Locals Helps President Promote Drug Plan During Visit to Jefferson City

April 11, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

President Bush uses the testimony of others to sell the Medicare prescription drug program during a trip to Missouri. Retired Jefferson City resident, Jerry Sooter, tells Bush he went on-line at medicare.gov to choose among the 42 programs offer in Missouri. Sooter says he found a list of providers on-line and called one of them. Within 2-and-a-half months, he had signed up. 29-Million senior citizens have enrolled in the program, but millions have not. The Bush Administration is making a big push to get more signed up before the May 15th deadline. Help is available by phone or over the Internet. You can call toll-free; 1-800-MEDICARE or log on to Medicare.gov.
