Seniors Thrilled With Chance to Meet President

April 11, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

President Bush visits Jefferson City to talk up the Medicare prescription drug benefit for senior citizens. Bush made a couple of stops in the capital city, dropping in first at the Lutheran Senior Services at Heisinger Bluffs – a home for seniors. Among the residents the President chatted with is Ruth Fleming, who recently turned 91. She thinks of her chance to meet the President Bush as an added birthday gift.

The President later took part in a town hall forum at the downtown Miller Performing Arts Center. A little more than three hours after landing at the Columbia Regional Airport, the Air Force was back in the air, taking the President to Iowa.
