Farm Bureau Survey Shows Food Prices Are Up

April 11, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

The Farm Bureau’s latest survey of food prices says they’re up, and energy prices are to blame for that. The Farm Bureau checks prices of 16 basic food items and says prices are up $3.39 from this time last year. But the study says the price is within a penny of the national average for the same 16 items. What’s up? Most meats, cheddar cheese, red delicious apples, russet potatoes and corn oil. Down? Flour, bread, eggs, and milk.
