Bush Visits Missouri to Talk Up Medicare Prescription Drug Plan

April 11, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

President Bush brings his campaign to tout the Medicare prescription drug plan to Missouri, sharing the stage with six residents as he speaks with a select Jefferson City audience. Bush says Medicaide had changed, but Medicare hadn’t. Bush acknowledges that the prescription drug plan is complicated, but he says it’s better to give people a choice rather than have the government choose a plan for them.

He urges senior citizens confused by the 42 plans offered in Missouri to get help to sign up, such as calling toll-free 1-800-MEDICARE or going on-line to www.medicare.gov. There is a May 15th deadline to sign up. 29-Million senior citizens have signed up, so far.
