A traveling education center known as the “Help is Here Express” has been touring the state, this week, informing senior citizens and other low-income Missourians about a healthcare partnership providing low income individuals with free or reduced price prescription drugs. This orange and green bus has rolled into St. Louis, Jefferson City, Kansas City, and Springfield … and hits Cape Girardeau on Friday. Telly Lovelace with Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers of America says the bus tour is intended to promote the Partnership for Prescription Assistance program, which is funded by the nation’s drug makers. To find out whether they qualify for the drugs, people are asked to call the Partnership at 1-888-4PPA-NOW or log onto the web site at www.pparx.org.
