MU basketball coach Mike Anderson will make at least $850,000 per season and stands to make $1.465 million if he meets all of the incentives in his five-year contract, which was released by the University of Missouri on Tuesday.

Only $250,000 of his guaranteed money will be based on what he does on the court. The other $600,000 will come from apparel contracts, TV and radio shows, camps and public relations appearances.

The $615,000 worth of possible incentives could come in the form of national awards, wins attendance, conference championships and extended runs in the NCAA Tournament.

Anderson will also get a membership to the Country Club of Missouri, located in Columbia, and an automobile.

There is also a loyalty clause in Anderson’s contract which will require him to pay back $250,000 for every season remaining on the deal, if he quits. The University will pay Anderson $500,000 for every year remaining on the contract if he is fired without cause.
