Company Accused of Violating Environmental Laws

March 24, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

A chemical company in north Missouri is charged with more than 40 violations of state environmental laws. The Attorney General is suing Carman Chemicals of Paris. The lawsuit charges the company did not properly dispose of containers of pesticides, that many of them were mislabeled or unlabeled, and had deteriorated to the point that they were spilling their contents. The Attorney General’s office says the problems were first discovered two years ago.
