In a battle of recent Class 1 powerhouses, the Jefferson Eagles continued their undefeated season topping the Bell City Cubs 74-61 to win its second Class 1 championship. Bell City was making its fourth appearance in the Final Four since 2001. Jefferson was making its second straight trip to the championship game.

Senior guard Matt Jenkins had a team high xx for Jefferson. Six foot ten inch William Bogan, who has already signed with Memphis, fought off foul trouble all game to finish with xx points and xx rebounds for the Cubs.

It was a back and forth game, but the Eagles took control in the final minutes. Jefferson took a 64-59 lead with 1:46 remaining on back to back three pointers by Jenkins and Jared Dowis. Bell City missed on its ensuing possessions including two point blank lay-ups by Bogan and never recovered. It became a free-throw game after that and the Eagles nailed them.
