Championship Games Set For Classes 1 & 3

The high school basketball season comes to an end today. The MSHSAA Show-Me Showdown finishes up at Mizzou Arena with state title games in Classes 1 and 3. In Class 1, Jefferson and Bell City meet for the boys title. Bell City is seeking its third state title in six years, while Jefferson looks to complete a 32-0 season. Leeton and DeKalb will play for the girls title. The two teams met in last year’s third-place game, with DeKalb claiming a 37-31 win. In Class 3, Charleston and Cardinal Ritter square off in the boys’ title game. Charleston advanced to the title game last year, losing to Lutheran North. Cardinal Ritter last won a state title in 2003. Pembroke Hill faces Blair Oaks for the girls title. Pembroke Hill is looking for its second straight state title, while Blair Oaks is playing in its first state championship game.
