A Kansas City woman who caused a traffic crash that killed a firefighter has been convicted of manslaughter. A judge could sentence LaDonna Davis to as much as four years in prison. She already faces a year in jail for driving with a revoked license. Police say she turned her car into the left lane of a road just as a firetruck was passing her. The collision caused the firetruck to spin and hit another car before mowing down a telephone pole and crashing into a tree. Firefighter Gerald McGowan was killed. And there are more problems ahead for Davis. She faces a civil lawsuit from a Sedalia couple that claims she ran them off the road, causing a crash that injured them. Davis was convicted of drunk driving, careless driving, and leaving the scene of an accident in that case.
