Quite a few Missourians have suffered property losses as a result of the tornadoes and thunderstorms that rolled through the state over the weekend. And, a good many Missourians who have suffered damages have been – or will soon be – in contact with their insurance companies. Matt Barton with the State Department of Insurance says it’s important for people who have suffered losses to document those losses through note taking and photographs. Barton says once the lists are complete and the pictures taken, people should contact their insurance companies to let it be known that a claim will soon be filed. Anyone who feels slighted or unsatisfied by an insurance company should contact the Department of Insurance Consumer Hotline at 800-726-7390.
