Seven people were killed and another 40-plus injured as a series of tornadoes and severe thunderstorms pummels parts of Missouri over the weekend. Three people were killed around Moberly, two in Perry County in eastern Missouri, and two others in the western part of the state. Edward Gray with the State Emergency Management Agency’s Emergency Operations Center says officials are trying to get a handle on where all the damage is. Gray says his agency is coordinating the efforts between the search-and-rescue teams on the ground, transportation officials re-routing traffic, and the State Highway Patrol.
