The Missouri women’s basketball team advanced to their first Big 12 Tournament semifinal game on Wednesday with an 81-75 win over Texas Tech. LaToya Bond paced the Tigers with 24 points, while Tiffany Brooks added 15. Christelle N’Garsanet, Carlynn Savant and EeTisha Riddle scored 11 apiece. Riddle grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. The Tigers made 54.5 percent of their shots.

Bond’s jumper with 6:52 to go in the first half gave Missouri a 24-23 lead and MU never trailed again. The Tigers led by as many as 11 in the second half.

With the win, MU (21-8) secures a date with top seeded Oklahoma, which beat the Tigers 88-73 at Mizzou Arena on February 4. OU (27-4) advanced with a 78-74 win over 9th-seeded Iowa St.
