Renovated Churchill Memorial at Westminster College Brings History to Life

March 7, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

A newly renovated Winston Churchill Memorial and Library now greets visitors to Westminster College in Fulton. As part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Churchill’s Iron Curtain speech, the library underwent a $4-Million renovation. Executive Director Rob Havers says he hopes the new technology, the lights and sounds, the film and radio broadcasts, bring Churchill home to the visitor. Havers says that while Churchill is the focus of the memorial, the library uses his life and times to bring the major events of the 20th Century to life.
