Westminster College has celebrated the 60th anniversary of Winston Churchill’s famous Iron Curtain speech with a number of guest speakers, including the only surviving child of Winston and Clementine Churchill: Lady Mary Soames. Soames told students Great Britian survived Germany’s onslaught during World War II through unity. She says that unity truly touched her. Soames adds she is deeply moved by how revered her father is in this country. She says returning to Westminster in Fulton is like coming home in a way.
