MIAA Tournament In Full Swing

Day one of the MIAA Tournament is in the books, and the best game on Thursday was saved for last. Tiffany Vincent’s layup with 12 seconds left gave Central Missouri State a 68-66 win over Northwest Missouri State. Vincent led CMSU with 17 points. The Jennies will play Emporia State in a semifinal game on Saturday. Emporia State pounded Pittsburg State 78-58. No. 1 Washburn won its 47th straight game. The Lady Blues cruised to a 63-36 win over Truman State. Washburn is just two wins shy of tying the NCAA Division II record. Washburn will play Missouri Western in the semifinals. The Griffins beat Missouri Southern 79-59.
