Senator Files Bill to Ban Most Abortions

March 1, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

State Senator Jason Crowell of Cape Girardeau thinks it’s time to quit nibbling around the edges of the abortion issue and hit it headon. He has filed a proposed constitutional amendment that would ban abortions in Missouri – period – except to save the woman’s life. Crowell says the goal is to force a US Supreme Court ruling that overturns Roe versus Wade. His bill has been filed on the last day for the filing of bills in the Legislature. But he’s confident he can get it through and on the ballot later this year.
