The effort to convince Missourians to oppose the stem cell research initiative that could appear on the November ballot is launched in four cities throughout the state. Jaci Winship, Executive Director of Missourians Against Human Cloning, told reporters in Jefferson City that the effort to win the hearts and minds of Missourians will go on, regardless of what happens in an appeals court in Kansas City on Thursday. That’s when the court will entertain an appeal of a lower court ruling striking down a challenge to the wording of the initiative proposed by those in favor of protecting stem cell research. Missourians Against Human Cloning insists a kind of stem cell research known as Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer is a form of human cloning.
