February 27, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

NASCAR stopped at California Speedway on Sunday, where Matt Kenseth grabbed the checkered flag, while Jimmie Johnson, who won the Daytona 500 last week, came in second.

Columbia, Mo. native Carl Edwards bounced back from his last-place finish at Daytona to finish third. Kasey Kahne and Jeff Burton rounded out the top five.

Three other Missouri natives competed in yesterday’s race. Jamie McMurray (Joplin) was sixth, Ken Schrader (Fenton) came in 27th and Kenny Wallace (St. Louis) was 41st.
