Utility Settles With Taum Sauk Family

February 21, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

AmerenUE has reached a settlement with the family washed away when the Taum Sauk Reservoir collapsed in southeast Missouri in December. The resulting flood wiped out the family home of the Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park superintendant, sending Jerry Toops, his wife, and three young children downstream. The three children were hospitalized for some time after the flood. Neither side would disclose terms of the settlement.
