Search Continues for Bridge Painter Who Fell Into Mississippi

February 20, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

The State Water Patrol has found no trace of a Potosi bridge painter who fell into the Mississippi River at St. Louis on Friday. The Water Patrol is resuming its search today. Painter Jimmy Belfield fell into the river after a platform being used by other painters collapsed. It’s not clear if he was trying to pull the others to safety or whether he was wearing a tether and had unhooked it or whether it broke.
