Advocate for Disabled Applauds Proposal to Revise Work Program

February 20, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

An advocate for the disabled calls a proposed revision of the ticket-to-work program a good first step. Paraquad’s Jim Tuscher backs the bill filed by Representative Charles Portwood of Ballwin. It would serve an estimated 3,200 Missourians, allowing them to hold nominal jobs while maintaining Medicaid coverage. Tuscher would like a relaxation of the ticket-to-work regulations. The new program is expected to cost the state $8-Million. The old Medical Assistance for Workers with Disabilities program grew to about $14-Million.
