Bond Believes Cheney Accidental Shooting Controversy Overblown by Media

February 15, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Missouri’s senior U.S. Senator thinks the controversy over Vice President Dick Cheney’s accidental shooting of a friend is a non-story. Senator Kit Bond says this is the kind of accident that can happen when people are hunting, and he realizes the Vice President feels awful over the accident. Bond says that while the White House and the Vice President’s office might have done a better job of handling the situation, this is not a story that affects national policy or the fate of the nation.
