Liberty School District Cracking Down on Bus Passing Lawbreakers

February 13, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

The Liberty School District is installing cameras in every school bus to take pictures of motorists who illegally pass a stopped school bus. The cameras cost about $400 each. The district has 74 buses. The district has been experimenting for about a year with camers on some buses. The district security officer says those cameras have led to more than 100 convictions of motorists who pass the bus after the stop-arm goes out.
