Restricted License Bill Heard by Senate Committee

February 7, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Senator John Griesheimer of Washington says too many teenage drivers and their passengers are being hurt or even losing their lives on Missouri’s roads. That’s why he’s sponsoring a measure that would double the number of hours of instruction for permit holders, and restrict teenage drivers with less than six months of licensed experience to only one other teen passenger and no more than three after that. Griesheimer says his bill won’t stop all accidents, but he believes it will decrease the numbers. Griesheimer says if it saves one life, it’s worth it.
