Blunt Questions Nixon’s Involvement in MOHELA Sale

February 7, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Governor Matt Blunt reacts to Attorney General Jay Nixon’s planned series of statewide public hearings on the proposed sale of the assets of the Missouri Higher Education Loan Authority – MOHELA. Nixon will hold two public hearings in Thursday in St. Louis. Blunt says Nixon appears to be engaging in activities outside the role of the Attorney General. Blunt refuses to speculate on any possible motive behind Nixon’s actions, but says those actions don’t seem to be in line with what he calls “the central mission of the office.”
