Members of Missouri’s Congressional delegation react to President Bush’s State of the Union Address. Senator Jim Talent liked what he heard about national security and renewable fuels. Talent says the President’s push for energy independence is an important part of the country’s energy security. And, he was happy to see a Missouri serviceman sitting near the First Lady. West-central Missouri Congressman Ike Skelton says he was encouraged by the President’s support for ethanol. He adds he was pleased to hear President Bush’s comments on national security, and his desire to see to war in Iraq through to its conclusion. It’s a view shared by Skelton.
