The Missouri Tigers suffered their worst home loss in almost 45 years with an 82-58 defeat by Iowa St. on Wednesday. Before that, the Tigers’ largest margin of defeat came in a 99-70 shellacking by Kansas St. at Brewer Fieldhouse on February 18, 1961.

Missouri, which never led on Wednesday, trailed 38-24 at the half. They were down 46-30, when head coach Quin Snyder earned a technical foul with 14:42 to go in the game.. About four minutes after the technical, the Tigers cut the lead to 53-42.

But the Cyclones responded by going on a 21-5 run to put the game away. The high mark for ISU came when Stinson hit a three pointer with 7:05, which gave them a 74-47 lead. Stinson finished with 27.

Iowa St. was almost perfect from the free-throw line, hitting 25-of-27, while MU went 14-of-32 from the line. The Tigers were 37.7 percent from the floor.

Snyder was ejected with 1:16 to go after earning his second technical of the game. Thomas Gardner led Missouri in scoring with 15 points. MU is 10-7 overall and 3-3 in the Big 12, while ISU upped its mark to 13-6 and 3-3 in the Big 12.
