Blunt Calls for Math and Science Education Summit

January 24, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Governor Matt Blunt has announced he’ll convene a Math and Science summit in late April to bring educators, businesses, and private organizations together to discuss ways to improve student knowledge in the areas of mathematics, engineering technology, and science. He outlined his plan to a meeting of the Missouri School Boards Association, saying his goal is to have students better prepared for the global economy. A 33-member planning committee made up of members of the business, education, and government sectors is helping to plan the summit.
