Financial disclosure figures filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission show Governor Matt Blunt is having no trouble raising money for his possible reelection bid. Blunt’s committee raised $911,000 in the final quarter of 2005. That brings to almost $2.2-Million the amount of money raised during the last election cycle. The committee has more than $1.6-Million on hand. Blunt says it’s an indication that people like the direction in which the state is headed. After his first year in office, Governor Bob Holden had just over $26,000 on hand after raising $102,000 in the fourth quarter of 2001. Blunt says it’s too early to announce whether he’ll seek a second term.
