First Lady Melanie Blunt has helped out at a Habitat for Humanity house building site in Jefferson City, Saturday morning, to support the River City Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build. The Women’s Build program was created to encourage women to help build homes for Habitat for Humanity. The First Lady is no stranger to this program, having worked on a similar project in Springfield. Governor Matt Blunt and son, Branch, were on hand as well. The Governor says women sometimes have a greater appreciation of homes than men have, so it could be beneficial to learn some of these building skills.
