Senator Jim Talent has been touring the state, talking up the importance of senior citizens signing up for the new Medicare prescription drug benefit. During a town hall meeting in Jefferson City, Talent addressed the concerns of many Missouri seniors who want to take advantage of the drug program, but who are confused over which plan to choose. Talent says the important things for seniors to do now is to sign up for any plan, and switch later if a better plan is found to be available. Information can be obtained by calling 1-800-MEDICARE or by logging onto www.medicare.gov.
