The Missouri State women lost 78-57 to Creighton in Omaha Monday night, as their frustrating conference season continued. The loss dropped the Lady Bears to 6-6 overall and 0-3 in the Missouri Valley Conference. In 24 years as a Division I program, this is the second time MSU has started a conference slate 0-3.

Creighton’s 14 three pointers was the most ever given up by an MSU Lady Bears team. The Bluejays were 9-of-14 from behind the arc in the first half and hit 5-of-18 in the second half. They jumped out to a 39-30 advantage after the first 20 minutes and only added to that lead in the second half.

Defending MVC Player of the Week, Kristi Woodard scored a game-high 25 points for CU, which improved to 6-7 on the year and 4-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Sarah Klaassen was MSU’s leading scorer with 17 points. Tiff Terwelp scored 11 points and grabbed 13 points in the losing effort.
