Chiefs Sign Edwards as New Coach

January 9, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

The Kansas City Chiefs have a new football coach. Herman Edwards will take over for Dick Vermeil who retired. Edwards will come to Kansas City after five seasons with the New York Jets. His team went 4-13 this season, but had gone to the playoffs in three of his five seasons there. Kansas City had to offer up a fourth round draft pick to the Jets for them to let him out of the final two years of his contract there. Edwards began his caoching career with the Chiefs, as an assistant coach.
