Ford executives are mulling over a proposal from state and St. Louis area leaders in an effort to keep the Hazelwood assembly plant open. Governor Matt Blunt joined St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley and Hazelwood Mayor T.R. Carr in Detroit on Thursday. Blunt says he feels good about the plant’s future, but wouldn’t comment at this time about proposed incentives. Ford is set to announce a company restructuring plan later this month, officials are trying to keep the hazelwood plant from a closure list. Further meetings between state and local leaders and Ford haven’t been planed.
