The Missouri women’s basketball team notched one of the biggest wins in its history with a 64-61 victory over 4th-ranked Baylor in Columbia. The win ended the defending national champion’s winning streak at 30 games and extended Missouri’s streak to 10 games.

Tiffany Brooks hit the go-ahead jumper with 1:17 and blocked a three pointer by Jordan Davis with six seconds to go to seal the win for the Tigers. Brooks finished the game with 10 points. EeTisha Riddle, who hit a big three-pointer with just over two minutes to go, had 10 points and led the Tigers with 12 rebounds.

LaToya Bond led the Tigers 21 points, while Sophia Young paced the Bears with 31.

The win moved Missouri to 11-2 overall and 1-0 in Big 12 play, while Baylor fell to 11-1 and 0-1.

The women’s basketball team at Washington University (St. Louis) lost its first game of the season, falling 63-56 to Maryville. Washington is ranked number one in the NCAA Division III rankings. The loss dropped them to 10-1 on the season.
