The St. Louis Blues allowed two leads to slip away from them in a 4-3 loss to the Predators in St. Louis Wednesday. The score was 0-0 when Ryan Johnson scored his third goal of the season to give the Blues a 1-0 lead at the 3:26 mark of the first period.

But the lead lasted only 22 seconds, when Vernon Fiddler scored for Nashville to tie the game at 1-1. 16 seconds after that, Petr Cajanek scored for St. Louis to re-gain the lead.

It stayed 2-1 until Steve Sullivan netted his 18th goal of the season for the Predators to make it 2-2.

Nashville took the lead and held on to it with power-play goals from Fiddler and Paul Kariya in the second period. The Blues cut the lead to 4-3 when Doug Weight scored his ninth goal of the season just eight seconds into their only power-play of the third.

Curtis Sanford suffered the loss, stopping 19-of-23 shots.
