Energy Task Force Meets to Discuss Costs and Supplies

January 3, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

The panel set up to address concerns regarding Missouri’s energy needs meets for the first time, discussing ideas. The Missouri Energy Task Force is charged with ensuring reliable and affordable energy is available to citizens – now and in the future. Public Service Commission Chairman Jeff Davis, who Chairs the Task Force, says lower costs and abundant supplies are inseparable. He hopes the recent spike in energy prices is a blip, and that those costs will come down to more affordable levels in the near future, but he’s not counting on it. The Task Force will be in place until the end of August, but Davis expects to make some preliminary recommendations to Governor Matt Blunt by the end of this month.
