As the Missouri Tigers get ready to face South Carolina in next Friday’s Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana, it looks as though the team could be playing the game without one of its defensive starters. The Kansas City Star reports Cornerback Marcus King has been suspended. King missed a second straight practice yesterday. According to the paper, Coach Gary Pinkel says it’s an academic concern that might still be resolved in time for the game. Safety Jason Simpson has already been suspended for the game after he was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
