A special Senate committee is going to invetigate Medicaid fraud by providers of Medicaid services. The formation of the committee comes three days after the Kansas City Star ran articles charging private contractors over-bill the proram by hundreds of millions of dollars. Committee Chairman Chris Koster says the first step for the comittee is to look at what works now in enforcing Medicaid laws and what needs improvement. Committee hearings ar expected to start in the third week of January.
