Retailers Brace For Last Minute Rush

December 21, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

The Christmas shopping season is coming to a close, but the next three days are expected to be very busy ones for Missouri merchants. David Overfelt, President of the Missouri Retailers Association, says we can expect to see a lot of women in the stores over the next few days, looking for last minute bargains. And, he says we’ll see a lot of men who have put off buying any of their shopping. He says the typical man just wants to get into a store, buy a gift, and get out. Overfelt says early indications point to six percent growth over last year’s holiday shopping season – and that’s great news for retailers.
