There’s no telling what the future holds between the pipes for the St. Louis Blues. What is known right now is that rookie Jason Bacashihua is their starting goaltender and Rheinhard Divis, who cleared re-entry waivers yesterday, is the back up. Beyond that question marks surround the team.

Curtis Sanford was the number one goalie for the Blues after Patrick Lalime cleared waivers and was sent down to Peoria, but he pulled hip flexor in the second period of the Blues loss to Chicago on Friday night. Sanford was placed on injured reserve.

Bacashihua will make his second NHL start on Tuesday night as the Blues face the Coyotes in Phoenix. He was 9-4 with a .903 save percentage in Peoria.

On Monday, Blues Center Doug Weight and Blues winger Keith Tkachuk were named to the U.S. Olympic Hockey team. Tkachuk was named for the fourth time. Chris, Chelios, who is also on the squad, and Tkachuk are the only players to make the team four times. Tkachuk has some healing to do before he can play, though. On Friday he was hit on the right hand with a puck and will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks.
