Change to Win Coalition Optimistic as it Hits Half Year Mark

The new kid on Missouri’s labor block is almost six months old, and it’s starting to find its footing. The Change to Win coalition – formed when the Service Employees International Union, the Teamsters, and other unions bolted the AFL-CIO – is starting to make its mark. Barbara Black, Vice President of the SEIU’s Missouri State Council, says the coalition is doing a good job for Missouri’s working families. Jim Kistler with Associated Industries of Missouri agrees the coalition has been busy trying to organize in non-unionized companies. Kistler says businesses that don’t want to become unionized have options – but they must make sure they are on firm legal ground in whatever actions they take.
