A manslaughter charge filed in Jasper County accuses of a babysitter of shaking a seven-month-old boy so hard that the boy died. Police say the child’s mother was at work while Eva Carmela Alvarado-Paxtor babysat her son. Alvarado-Paxtor appears to be an illegal immigrant from Guatemala. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents had a warrant for her, but had not located her until she was arrested in Carthage.
