December 15, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Southeast Missouri punter David Simonhoff has been selected to the NCAAA Division I-AA All-American first team. The junior from Florida was fifth in the nation, averaging 42.8 yards per punt. 16 of his 46 punts this season were inside the 20 yard line. He even had an 80 yard punt.

Simonhoff is the third SEMO football player to be named to the first team, joining wide receiver Willie Ponder (2002) and offensive lineman Eugene Amano (2003).
