The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame announced its class of 2006 yesterday, which includes 14 individuals. The list includes:

•Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa
•Former Kansas St. football coach Bill Snyder (St. Joseph, Missouri native and William Jewell football player)
•Former Royals reliever Jeff Montgomery (team’s all-time save leader with 304, 9th in MLB history)
•Chiefs all-time tackling leader Gary Spani
•St. Louis broadcaster Greg Marecek
•“Bigfoot” Creator Bob Chandler (St. Louis native)
•Stanford, Olympic volleyball player/WNBA veteran Kristin Folkl (St. Louis native)
•Southwest Baptist, St. Louis Hawks basketball player and college basketball coach Lynn Nance
•Missouri high school football All-American/college football coach Chuck Sheltton
•Former William Jewell basketball coach, Dr. Norris Patterson
•Three Rivers Community College basketball coach Gene Bess
•Long-time Northwest Missouri St. Athletic Trainer David Colt
•Former Springfield-Greene County Park Board Director, Dan Kinney
•Tae Kwon Do Grand Master Richard Osborn (Springfield)

The Hall of Fame will also be honoring the 1983-1984 Central Missouri men and women’s basketball teams which won NCAA Division II championships on the same day in 1984.

The induction ceremonies will on Sunday February 12 in Springfield.
