Heavy rains, overnight, are being pointed to as the likely cause of a dam break in southeast Missouri. The Taum Sauk Dam gave way around 5:30 this morning, sending water rushing into Lesterville and other nearby communities. Susie Stonner with the State Emergency Management Agency says there are unconfirmed reports that one person is missing and being sought by authorities. Stonner says crews from SEMA, the Highway Patrol, Department of Natural Resources, MoDOT, and other agencies are converging on the region.
